It's not much use, but...
ntdll.dll is one of the the core win32 dlls - it gets called via kernel32.dll from most user-mode apps which use kernel32 - But, any time you see a stack trace, this file will be right at the top of the stack-trace, because it is also responsible for creating the main application thread :/ It's annoying, but most stack traces go there when it's too late, and you will need a debugger to get more detail - and that's an entirely different problem-space.
I un-installed X7 before installing X8, and that along with some hackery in this thread http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 57#p318857 sorted my story out. Keep trying.

Hi Alex
We passed on details of 3 similar posts to Corel and received this recent reply.
“Thanks for the issue reporting.
Based on engineering investigation, we found the root cause is the Flash Update from the latest windows update, so far we found windows 8 and 10 have this issue.
We are working on a work-around fix now and will update you once it is done.”

Re: Error Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8 after upgrade
Hi Alex
I was unsure if the SP3 has been updated so I installed 32 bit program again with the same crash problems
I can only assume the crash for 32 bit has been overlooked by Corel given that a fix for Cvsx8 seemed to help 64 bit users.
I have again sent a mail to our Corel exec's reminding them of existing problems with the 32 bit program.
Hopefully they will respond after the weekend.
