Error Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8 after upgrade

After the upgrade, Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8 to version 18.6.06, constantly fails:

When you re-installed the program did you choose to remove all personal data when uninstalling.?


Try resetting the program by renaming the folder “18.0” to “18.0_old”
Here:-
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\18.0

The folder is hidden by windows explorer so change the folders view options.
Or type %appdata% into the computers Start Search panel to fine the roaming folder.

Run the program and a new 18.0 folder will be created , takes a while to launch on first attempt.

I don’t understand what you are trying to do.

You cannot install two X8 programs on the same pc.
Once X8 is installed trying to re-install will prompt an uninstall.

Did you try re-setting the program?

I want to say that first I have uninstalled the program completely with all the components with the help of Your Uninstaller PRO, rebooted the PC and then again install Corel VideoStudio...

There is only Video Studio 8.0 original release and 8.5 after service pack installation.
Although I believe current purchases are 8.5, but still require a service pack SP3

Installing service packs usually change the version number, currently 18.6.0.6

If you reinstall the program check this number via the Help About before installing the SP3, then check again to compare.

I assume 32 bit would have the same numbers, can you check the version number via Help - About

No, after you install Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8, software version 18.0.0.181. Then I install the update SP3 software version changes to 18.6.06.

Yes. After SP3 upgrade, the software version is changed to 18.6.06. The bit width of 32-bits. I think to remove the program and install all the updates in order starting with the oldest.

Re-install the program, when you uninstall choose to remove all personal files.
First you may wish to backup the library via Settings library manager - export library

After installing allow the program to automatically update, do not install SP's manually.
The auto update may only install SP-3, at least that's what happens when I re-install.

If you wish developers to know about this problem you should contact Corel Support, Corel also have a Facebook account that as far as I know is staffed by Corel employees.

First try a clean install to see if that fixes your problems?

Renamed the folder to "18" in "18_old". When you run the program you created the new folder, "18", but the program Corel VideoStudioне start and does not start...

I don't really understand much about it, but maybe a read and a further search may help.

By the way I have passed details of this and other posts regarding SP3 issues to Corel, hopefully they will reply / help?
