I used this program for many months, no problem.
I used it yesterday, no problem.
Today, I open it up, and I get an error, and then I'm forced to close.
If I open up another project, it loads it just fine.
Why am I getting this error?
I did not change a thing since yesterday!
-----------------------------
I tried restarting, same error.
I used autosave, it loaded the project, that guide popuped up, and I got the same error.
-----------------------------
So, my theory is that "guide" is causing the error, but it always loads, and I can't even click the X on it.
Any clue how to fix?

Re: Corel VideoStudio Pro X6 Unknown Guide error on NEW Star
Hi
And welcome to the forums
You could try holding Alt+F4 whilst the program loads, maybe that will close the Corel Guide before the crash?
Try resetting the program by renaming the folder “16.0” to “16.0_old”
Here:-
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\16.0
The folder is hidden by windows explorer so change the folders view options.
Or type %appdata% into the computers Start Search panel to fine the roaming folder.
Run the program and a new 16.0 folder will be created creating a new library.
Otherwise I think you may have to re-install the program.

Re: Corel VideoStudio Pro X6 Unknown Guide error on NEW Star
I'd have to transfer the CD to a flash drie and reinstall that way.
So, hoping for another idea before I have to do that.
I changed the folder, so it's not a video, audio, sound file.
Just weird how this happened for no reason

Re: Corel VideoStudio Pro X6 Unknown Guide error on NEW Star
When I try to record in screencap, I get an audio device error.
I can't seem to fix this.
I wonder if the two errors are related?
