Where does Painting Creator store files?

Post by david1939 »

Just getting back to using VS after a long while - now using X6. I've forgotten: where does Painting Creator store its files? Thanks!

Have a look in the folder designated in Preferences as your VS working folder.

Hi

As Ken says it will use the working folder location by default for VS X6 the saved effects are stored here:-

C:\Users\username\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\16.0\PaintingCreator_Animation

After you close Paint Creator a thumbnail of the effect is placed in the library.
Right click this for Locate on Computer.

Thank you gentlemen. I was puzzled because a clip did not appear in any of my libraries. However, I just repeated the process and there it is - oh well, I must have done something wrong in the first attempts.

If you will allow a little "mission creep": what I am doing is drawing a line on a map (actually a Google Earth image) the progress of a journey. to be displayed in a sub window (PinP), while the main window shows the shots taken from the moving bus (or maybe vice versa, whichever looks better). Trouble is, the video length is around 10 minutes and I am not able to stretch the Painting Creator clip out to that extent. Any advice, please, will be welcome. (Editing down the video to a shorter time is, of course, an option.)

Are you using the Painting editor to draw the route? Why not use the RotoPen effect to draw the route on a map?

Then try this free route generator program

Version 1.7 is the best yet, very easy to use and quick to learn
