Used to work. Now, seems not. Error message that AACS key has expired.
Trying to update, get "Server is unable to process your renewal request" message.
Following Corel instructions, turn of UAC, delete temp IE files and cookies, etc.
Still get "Server is unable to process your renewal request" message.
Click on the "contact us" link on that error message IE page, takes me to a link that is broken.
Find instructions on Corel site to update through Sony to latest version. No updates listed on Sony site for my laptop (PCG-3JIL, Core2Duo P7450 with mobility 4650HD graphis, 6GB RAM). Needs replacing, serving its purpose well enough for now.
Error message screen also says to install latest patch, links below. They are not listed below.
I search Corel site for patches, find nothing for WinDVD8.
Start a chat session, am told the product is no longer supported, directed here.
That's just perfect. My product worked fine on my laptop with my Blu-Ray discs one day, and not the next. The AACS key needs to be updated I suppose, whatever that is.
How?????
WinDVD 8 on Sony Vaio laptop stopped working
