Hi there
I was just about to create my first BD on VSX8, when I realized that there is only one menu template I can use. There is not even some simple template which only shows the title and the video clips, but this kind of "album" with a lot of objects on it that I don't want to see.
Ok, I thought, I will do like I did in earlier versions and use the deceased PhotoImpact for my own templates.
Unfortunately, PhotoImpact X3 keeps crashing as soon as I try to open the one existing template that I can see in VSX8, so something must have been changed.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
I only want to create a menu with just a background color and the titles of the clips on it, nothing more.
Is there any other solution but making all the objects of the original template "invisible"? Or ist there something I need to know for MyDVD?
Oh, btw. MyDVD offers to burn a Blu-ray disc, but (I haven't done it yet) it seems like it is calculating the video clips as if it would burn them in DVD quality only.
Has anyone experience with BD & MyDVD ? I did not find much on the topic in this forum. Maybe I'm the only one to actually burn BDs.
Cheers
Jan

Re: X8 & Blu-ray templates
Not sure why you only have one Blu-ray template you should have more than that - did you install the 'content' pack as well as the programme
you can download more templates using the get more content option if you want some more ready made ones
but if you only want a fairly simple one then you can modify the one you have to create a blank one and then save it for future use
start by viewing this video - - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIuoQp6Bstc
which should allow you to do what you want - but you can come back and ask any further questions you may have

Re: X8 & Blu-ray templates
Thanks for the answer.
I must have lost the "content" file.
I think I remember downloading it, but obviously I forgot to save it somewhere else.
Anyway, I managed to use that one template that I see and make it look the way I want it to look.

Hi
The contents file was called
VideoStudioX8_2Contents.exe
Maybe doing a search of the pc will find the file?
