I have Video Studio Pro X6. Apparently, I moved the files, or the hard drive letter changed, because old projects open up the white/black line on the video timeline. Is there a way to see what the file name is, so I can re-link the missing file? I would have thought that if I right clicked the missing video file, it would have allowed me to see the file name in the properties - but that option isn't available to me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Finding Moved Files
Normally when the file has become 'unlinked' you will get an error message saying - ####### no longer exists - Relink ?
where ###### is the filename - clicking on Relink should open a 'browse to' window displaying the file name at the top and allowing you to browse to the current file location and show Videostudio where the clip is now
do you not see a Relink error box ?

Re: Finding Moved Files
Hi Brian -
Thank you for such a quick response! When I open an old project, I do not get any error message - I just see black/white stripe where the video file used to be in the timeline. Perhaps I need to turn something on, in order to see that?

Re: Finding Moved Files
I figured it out!! While I get no automatic error message - clicking "File" then "Relink" allows me to see the file name (so I know what to look for!
