So I'm trying to create a cast opening, similar to this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCZezJxyaDc
I want the cast's name to be like the video, where it'll come up, then slowly move towards one end of the screen. All of the animations have an entrance/exit so I can't really use those so I'm going to try to do custom motion.
Would this be the correct way?
I insert the title into the clip (for example "Brad Pitt" into a 2 second clip of brad pitt), then go to custom motion for the title. Position the title at the start of the video where I want it to start, then click the last keyframe and position the title where I want it to end and it would fill in the gaps, causing it to move horizontally?
Also, any idea on how to get the shadow. I can get the shadow but I can't get it bigger then the text it's shadowing.

Why did you start a new thread? Stick with your original thread otherwise it will get confusing.

Well I was just away knocking up a quick video demo - now I see you have added another requirement
have a look at this video and I'' check out your new requirement

Omg no that video is perfect. Thank you so much for making it, it's easier to see it being done then when people try to explain it in a post. Instead of adding the middle keyframe/keystroke, I'll just keep the start and end, since I don't want it to move back. This is easier then I thought. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Saved me a lot of time and work as I spent all day yesterday trying to experiment on ways to get it to work. Any idea on the shadowing part?BrianCee wrote:Well I was just away knocking up a quick video demo - now I see you have added another requirement

Sorry, the first topic was about the fly animation and now that it was cleared up that it's better to use custom motion, I didn't want to keep that thread going since I'm not using the fly animation at all.canuck wrote:Why did you start a new thread? OK - I do not know a way to make the default shadow bigger - but I do know a workaround - be back with another video

OK - knocked up another video - text with shadow - can be any size shadow text you want
obviously you will use both texts the same words I've just done different to explain a bit
see what you think - - - https://youtu.be/-6yBv4yGPC4
