Running PSP X7, Win 10. Learning to make gradients and save. I have the file location set to save to C:\Users\Steve and Joanne\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\17.0\Gradients. When I push the "+" button it asks for a a new Palette I name it "Gradient" , then name the gradient with my initials and a color. The new Gradient shows in the Material Palette. However when I look at the file system the new gradient is located in the Swatches folder, with sub folder of Gradients. My question is this file being stored correctly? I would have thought it would be stored where I set the Save to File.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Saving a Gradient
Okay, so this is kind of fun.
What you did was saved a Material Swatch, not a gradient. Swatches exist in the Materials Palette but not in the gradients list. It's a fun separation.
To save a gradient do not click on the big "+" sign next to the "Before and After" views. That saves a swatch. Click on the "Save" button right underneath the gradient list, and above the gradient points. That will save the changes to the current gradient. To add a new gradient use the small "+" sign also beneath the gradient list and above the color stops editor.
Here I've highlighted the areas I'm talking about.

Re: Saving a Gradient
Thanks for your help. My old eyes did not see the other save button. Works fine.
