Make toolbars larger?

Either I am search wrong or this has been asked. Is there anyway to make the toolbars larger so that those of us with old eyes can see them easier, or at least make them in a bright contrasting color so they can easily be seen?

You can change the colour of your workspace to a lighter colour from View. You can increase the size of the coloured icons by right clicking on the menu bar, customise, Options tab, untick Show small icons.
