I ripped a clip from a DVD and I want to completely eliminate the audio (and substitute my own music audio). I've tried the Sound Mixer, bringing the horizontal line down as far as it will go toward the wave, but a faint sound remains. I tried a right click on the sound track and Mute, then Save As, but when I brought the clip back to the Library, it would not drag down to the Timeline. The Mute seemed to have "muted" the video, too. When I right clicked on the track and then Delete, the video disappeared this time, too. The audio and video from this DVD seemed to be married to each other, and they don't believe in divorce.
Tell me how to get rid of the audio on this clip, but save the video part. The DVD audio is music, sound effects, a voice telling you what is going on and another voice interpreting the subtitles in English.
Thanks!!

Right click on the VIDEO and choose 'Mute' - this will remove the audio - now put your new sound file in the audio track and sync it up
now go to Share and create a new video which will combine the audio and video into one file
SAVE or SAVE AS does not create or save a video - you must use "Share" - and select the top icon and a video format
remember that actions such as Mute and cut etc. are only virtual - the original clip will always remain unaltered

Thanks, Brian, for "sharing the Share" secret. Will do.

Re: Deleting Audio - a tough nut this time
That works just fine. I use freeware (for example, AoA Audio Extractor) to simply extract the audio, which I can then bring directly into VIdeoStudio. This particular freeware is a mite slow (they want you to buy the upgrade).
