I was dragging photos to the library and everything was going just fine when all of a sudden I couldn't add any more. I only dragged about 10 photos in the library, then suddenly I couldn't add any more. I even saved the project, closed the program, then I re-opened it and I still can't add any more images to any folder in the library.
I even tried to add them to the timeline and that didn't work either. I was thinking maybe I clicked something by mistake that made it stop working. When i try to drag a photo, it just shows a circle with a slash.
Any ideas on what could have gone wrong?
BTW, I was adding them to the library, then from there to the storyboard timeline.
Is there a limit on how many photos can be added to the library?
Cannot add files to library or timeline

Re: Cannot add files to library or timeline
If there is a limit on the number of files in the library it is quite high - we see reports here of people with hundreds of files in their libraries
what is the format of the photos which will not load - Videostudio will take quite a selection but will not accept programme specific photos like .psp or .spp
if you delete the 10 you already have can you reload them again without problem

Re: Cannot add files to library or timeline
Hi Brian,
The photos are just .jpeg's. For some reason, I can't click and drag anymore, but the work-around that I tried was I right clicked in the library and selected "insert media files", and that worked. I even shut down VS and my computer and started all over again and it did the same thing. Well I guess I'll just right click and insert from now on.
Thank you for the help.
Bob

Re: Cannot add files to library or timeline
Hi Bob
The only time I had problems with the library and Jpeg images was with a laptop, turned out the graphics driver needed updating.
Strange as it was a new laptop. I also had problems using the sample images provided by the program.
I don’t suppose you are having other problems with the library?

Re: Cannot add files to library or timeline
Hi Trevor,
It's a little strange because I was doing just fine, dragging 8 photos to the library with a couple more to go. Then suddenly, I couldn't do it anymore. Anyway, I found another way to do it...right click in the library and select "insert media files". I don't mind doing it that way, but I would still like to find out why it's doing that.
Also, no, I'm not having other problems with the library that I know of.
Oh, BTW, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but last night was the first time I used the storyboard view, so maybe ...
