creating vcd

Im just new to creating vcds to any program and am having trouble with this one. im trying to create vcd on cd-r using videostudio 7se. I think ive followed all instructions on user manual and tutor still no luck. its probably something obvious but someone please help. Im using hp pavillion 522a 1.7ghz 256mb ram 40gb hd cyberdrv cwo58d cd-r/rw. trying to burn from microsoft .avi file. create cd icon wont even light up. thanks

The steps you take aren't much different from the DVD-creation steps listed in the first "sticky" post in this forum.

Why don't you first list what you've tried. Then we'll all gang up and correct you! I think you'll end up finding it easy.

I followed tutorials in forum. even from opening a new project create cd icon does not allow me to access it. Ive been trying to anything for the past two days and still no success. Is the program not recognising the drive? is there a way I can check? tried reinstalling, gone through read me files, don't know what else I can do ieven tried down loading cd/dvd burning file from forum still no go. Its got to be somthing simple........

Videostudio 7se may not support burning. My SE version (that does burn) is labled "7SE DVD"
