pspformat Structure
Hi all,
I have recently update to version X8 and I notice that all the thumbnail of my new pictures of pspimages format was not displayed whereas those created with X7 were normally displayed in my explorer (I use XYPlorer up to date).
Is someone can tell me if the format as slightly changed between versions X7 et X8.
Thanks for your answer.

Bonjour Calade,
I use MysticThumbs (not free) to see non-standard thumbnails in Explorer:
http://mysticcoder.net/mysticthumbs.html
But there is also a free utility from Bot Productions, it's fairly old and I don't know if it still works, but always worth a try :

To answer your question, yes X8 has a slightly different format to accommodate certain features like word wrapping.

You say you have upgraded to X8 yet your profile shows you using XP Pro. Have you ben able to get PSP X8 to run on Windows XP or is your profile info incorrect and needs updating?
Just checked with an X8 .pspsimage file on the desktop and the thumb shows correctly showing what the image looks like rather than just an icon.

Bonjour Calade,
mes vignettes pspimage X7 et XS8 s'affichent correctement dans mon Explorateur Windows sous Windows 10.
Tu peux poser la question sur le forum français:

Re: pspformat Structure
Thanks all for your replies,
I've made other tests this morning.
Whatever the version (X7 or X8) is used to create/modify the pspimages, it is necessary to have PSP X7 install on my machine to be able to see pspimage pictures in my explorer (XYPlorer).
With X7, installed I retrieve all my pictures created solely with X8 and as soon X7 was uninstalled, they disappear.
to hartpaul: No, I'm under seven now but I've not found where update my profile.
To Jean-Luc, j'ignorais l'existence du forum français, j'irai plus souvent maintenant, je suis plus à l'aise dans ma langue maternelle !
PS: Is there any drawback to have several versions of PSP install even if only one is used.

Re: pspformat Structure
Thanks,
That's what I thought !
More seriously, is there something I can find the differences between X7 and X8 pspimages structures.

To update your profile go to the top of this page and at the left, under the Corel banner, click on the User Control Panel link. On that page click on the Profile tab. You can change everything there.Calade wrote: to hartpaul: No, I'm under seven now but I've not found where update my profile.
