I did a search on this forum and cant find any subject related to this.
Anyway i noticed over the past few weeks that Intervideo was selling its version for the DVD player through this website.
I have then read an article in a DVD authoring mag in the UK this week and found out that InterVideo now owns 62% of Ulead, and that all its directors had been replaced with its own.
Anyone heard the same?
Will Intervideo honour any fixes for these products?

one must assume Intervideo Media Pro Studio 8 instead iof Ulead perhaps?!? tends to be the way things go. is that why everything has been going cheap recently on here in the mall?
from past experience of working for employers whohave been taken over the purchased company name is normally ditched within a year.

I just looked at Intervideo's web site and it has a large Video Studio 9 icon right on the top page. The icon links to directly Ulead's web site. That's good news for Video Studio.
However, their WinDVD product that supports high definition video editing may conflict with Ulead's Media Studio in features but is priced ($70) to compete with Video Studio.

BTW, where have you been hiding, David? We have missed you.

Do you have a link to the list of features that includes editing of HD Transport Streams (and not just playback)jchunter wrote:However, their WinDVD product that supports high definition video editing may conflict with Ulead's Media Studio in features but is priced ($70) to compete with Video Studio.
I'm very interested in how they will implement this -- via proxy files, via intermediary codec, via native HD editing, or via some other technology

George,
No, I have no details at all. The WinDVD package display features the words "HDTV". There is a link to a News Release implies lots of HD capabilities but the details are very thin. When I finally read more carefully, the words "HD Playback" imply a whole lot less capability.
The HD capability may be more marketing than engineering...

PS, I did not find a link to a user forum from the web site but did not search exhaustively. Google found a few forum threads on WinDVD.
