does anyone know what drivers do i need for moviefactiry 4 to connect to hauppauge wintv pvr usb2 when i use straight ti disc?
i get an error failed to connect to driver: hauppauge wintv pvr usb2 encoder, i think i have the latest wintv drivers on driver properties it said driver date april 2005
are there drivers newer that those or are there a separate drivers for it
i also installed moviefactory update for hauppauge on ulead webpage

Hauppauge capture devices use hardware compression to encode captured videos into AVI or MPEG. You need a special plug-in for this if you want to use it with MovieFactory. As far as I know, neither Ulead nor Hauppauge has releasead a plug-in patch yet for MovieFactory 4. Version 3 has it. Maybe they'll release one for MF4 too...

then whats the "DVD MovieFactory 4 Hauppauge devices support pack (Release Date: 2005/06/13 )" offered on uleads webpage for at http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf_ftp.htm
thats why i thought i could use MF4 with hauppauge because ulead offered this software on their webpage

I tried the Ulead patch for my Haupage WIN TV USB but the patch installer says it can't find Movie Factory v4.0 which is absolutely there but as absolutely useless to me.
The ONLY reason I bought this software is because MF3SE was bundled with my Haupage and worked. It os preposterous to imagine that Ulead would be a bundled prodect with recent products and not have the same functionality and support built into later versions!
I have owned this version for one day and already I have the following problems to which no solutions seem available:
1) I get a "Key Error" when I open the various creation functions (Like Create Video DVD). Clicking the message kills the error message and the function I selected opens, but what isn't working because of this key issue?
2) I can not import MPG files.
3) It won't recognize my Haupage WinTV DVR USB.
4) The driver patch for my Haupage doesn't recognize that I have Movie Factory 4.0 installed on my PC.
Not bad for my first day. Can't wait to experience all the other problems I see on this board; that is, after I get this software to work at all!
If anyone finds out anything about these issues I'd be thrilled to see them. If I find any solutions I'll post them here.
