Re: Win DVD 11 will not run
Hi
There is a service pack that apparently gives support to Windows 10
Choose the correct tab at the top for your version of WinDVD

Re: Win DVD 11 will not run
I had the same problem. WinDVD Pro 11 was running fine with the latest updates under Win 7. After doing a clean install of Win 10 and reinstalling my original download from Sep 27, 2012 I found that I could not install the SP5 updates without first running the program to enter a serial number and trying to install the update without entering the serial number caused the program to be uninstalled. When I ran the program without the updates it would display a page to set up file defaults and then it would just go quietly away.
I finally downloaded the current trial version of WinDVD Pro 11 and it worked fine, but when I tried to install my old registered copy over it WinDVD still failed to run.
After trying various install/update/uninstall my system was so hosed it would not even run the install programs anymore. Fortunately I had just done a full backup before trying to install WinDVD, so I just restored the entire C: drive rather than dink around with registry cleanups.
Fortunately I had purchased WinDVD Pro 11 directly from Corel back in 2012. When I went to my order confirmation page on their web site I found I could download the current version and install it directly. That seems to have worked OK and WnDVD is now working fine on my Win 10 system.
I would suggest anybody who wants to install WinDVD Pro 11 on Windows 10 and doesn't have an install disk/program for the current SP5 version contact Corel and try to get a current install file before screwing around too much and hosing their system like I did. YMMV
