X8 Layers button

Post by MarjV »

Hi - all of a sudden my X8 Layers button along the top is missing.

Is there any way to retrieve it without uninstalling and reinstalling?

Thanks,
Marj

Yes, two main ways in fact.

1) Reset the menu

or

2) Reset the entire workspace.

To reset the menu, go to the Customize dialog under the View menu

View -> Customize

Click the "Menu" tab on this dialog. You'll see a section labeled "Application Frame menus" that is set to "Default Menu" Click the "Reset" button. This will reset the entire default menu system back to normal. So no more missing areas....and any customizations you did will be lost. But easily re-made.

To reset the entire workspace -

Close PSP. Then reopen PSP while holding the SHIFT key. It'll ask if you want to reset PSP back to factory defaults.

Once your have the workspace back to the way you like it. Save the workspace by going to File -> Workspaces -> Save.

Once the workspace is saved, you can reset back to this workspace by going to File -> Workspaces -> Load.
