Lata: I did find out that the music does not play when viewing a clip, and to see it all together, you have to play the entire project. When playing the project it was so choppy that we were trying to get that around that feature to see the flow of the music with the clip. Oh well.
I have created mp4 files. I created mp2 files for playing on the high def TV. Your comment below (Smart Proxy, make sure you use “Auto Generate proxy template” Recommended settings, do not create your own profile. Clear the Smart Proxy File Manager and create new proxy files for your clips.) is something I need to look into now. Because, the mp2 movie when playing on the high def TV shows parts of titles no matter what screen format we chose on the TV. The titles are all inside the title safe zone when in the edit mode. I tried burning the mp2 DVD using both 16:9 and 4:3 and I get the same problem. I just queried the Forum database and did not find an answer to that one. So I will look into the "Auto Generate proxy template” comment and see if that helps.

Hi Jan
Smart Proxy files are created to help with Project Playback and should overcome the choppy video.
The Smart Proxy files are I suppose replace the original files when playing the timelines, although this is done in the background, not sure how they actually manage that.
But you created your own template / profile using the same properties as the original. So the Proxy Files were the same as original and did not improve playback .
Hence my recommendation of using the default settings.
Sound in Project only,
unfortunately some video types have this issue, changing the volume level to 99% may help, not a definite solution, but worth a try?
TV aspect ratio
If you play the disc on the pc (computer) do you have the same problem showing the titles.?
Some TV’s have Smart Zoom this zooms into the frame and can remove some details around the edge?
After editing the project you should create a video file of that project, for a DVD you should choose MPEG2
Does that video file show the same problem, before burning a disc.?

Re: Pixilated GoPro Hero4 Video when DVD Created
Hello everyone! I thought I would let you know the outcome of the movie project. I created the Mp2 movie clip (mpg). Then I "inserted" that media file when I created the DVD. File size is 3,493,080 kb and the total time is 1:02:05. I also created the Mp4 file and its size is 12,475,765 kb. The only problem I had was trying to create a file (when selecting the option to Play on the Computer) where I checked "Same as Project Settings" because all the options (AVI, Mpg2, AVC/H.264, Mpg4, WMV, MOV, Audio, and Custom) were not available (they got dark). If I tried to load a file, with "Same as Project Settings" checked, it would only let me select MPEG Transport Stream Files (*.m2t). When I did create a *.m2t file the quality was a mess when playing on the computer.
So we are very pleased with the quality of the Mp2 file on the DVD and VERY pleased with the Mp4 file when playing on the computer. I bought a 32 GB flash drive, loaded the Mp4 file onto it (after formatting it to ExFat). I then plugged the flash drive into the desktop USB port and used Windows media to play it. IT WORKED! So from now on, all video goes directly into ProX8. When I am going to start a project I will go to Preferences > General > and tick the box beside "Show message when inserting first clip into timeline". Then I will start the new project and insert one of the files into the timeline. Then I will say "Yes" when I get the message asking if I want the Project Properties to match those of the clip. Thanks for all your help. I have lots of videos (mostly not high def, but some high def) so my New Year's Resolution will be to practice in ProX8 and get the movies made. Just call me the Knucklehead! Thanks to everyone for all your input!

Hi
Thanks for the feedback and happy you managed a good quality DVD.
Not a Knuckehead—you are on the learning curve and heading in the right direction, just a little practice.
Oh
After seeing the Show Messages box, select Details, your video files properties show in the right hand panel, worth having a look.
Besides you can select the text to Copy and Paste to the forums when asked for the properties. Then OK
And if that box does not show it may be the project properties already match?

When I get back into ProX8, I'll take a look at your comment, "Show Messages box, select Details, your video files properties show in the right hand panel, worth having a look. Besides you can select the text to Copy and Paste to the forums when asked for the properties. Then OK. And if that box does not show it may be the project properties already match?" I have looked at the Project Properties under Settings.
I have moved the project files I was working on onto my Cloud next to my desktop. I have many more projects just waiting for me to tackle them. But right now it is time to do holiday cards, before it is too late.
Thanks!
