I was thinking of updating my 7 year old dual core over the next few months, possibly doing a custom build. I just saw that Newegg has refrub HP Desktop Computer Z210 desktops with XEON E3-1240 (3.30 GHz) 8 GB DDR3 2 TB HDD Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit for $269.
Would this rig work well with Video Studio x5 ultimate?
What I like about this refurb over a new build is that it is an operating computer from day 1. I could add an ssd & a better video card to optimize editing. However, out of the box it should be better than my old rig.
Also, I would update my Video Studio to the 64 bit version if it would help.
Any obvious issues?
xeon E3-1240 good for VideoStudio

Xeon is not listed in VS spec

But surly you will need a much better GPU card.
maybe one member here run Xeon and he will comment
