Intro movie before the dvd menu?
I've been googling without any sucess so hopefully someone here can help me out. I'm making a family cruise vacation dvd and I would like to have a short intro movie play before the menu screen appears. Sort of like when you pop in a commercial dvd movie, the "illegal warning" screen gets to play first without being able to skipped. Is this can be produced with VS or some other application? Thanks.

Yes it can be.
To create an intro movie using VS,
1). Open a new project.
2). Select an image or color, drag it to the timeline.
3). Go to the Title track, and create your title by typing the Illegal warning that you want.
4). You might want to have this fade to black after being displayed.
5). After you are satisfied with your Warning, go to Share
6). Create Movie, just like any captured video, and create your video file.
7). Now when you are ready to burn your DVD, import this video first.
Just above the timeline you should see a small box, with "Use first clip as introductory video". Check it. Now your warning will always play first before any menu or video. This will be the first video seen after inserting the disc.
9). Continue to add video clips as usual.
Hope that helps
