Question about tubes

Post by fowlstack »

I have made a fire tube that I would like to place above text. However the text is not horizontal it is curved. Am I try to do something impossible?
I can't figure out how to do this seemingly simple move. Should I make a selection that looks like fire above the lettering, then flood fill with the fire gradient?
I keep trying different things but am unable to come up with a solution. Any suggestions appreciated.
TIA

When applying a Picture Tube in X8, make sure Create as a new raster layer is ticked.
If you are using another version, apply the Tube on a new layer, then you can use the Pick Tool (K) to rotate it.
Or.. using the Warp Brush (not the Mesh) to nudge it where you want it works well too.
Keep the Warp Brush size not too big and the Strength at about 50.

Hope this helps :-)

Thanks Joelle, I will try that. I am using x8 so I shouldn't have any problems.
Appreciate the assistance.
