Paint Shop Pro x8 auto preserve
When I was working in x7 there would always be a folder magically appear called "auto preserve" and no matter how many times I played with a picture, if I screwed it up beyond repair I could always go back to the auto preserve folder and start over. I know you can use 'revert', but it seems like in x8 the revert only goes back to the last save and I cannot locate the auto preserve folder anymore. Did something change? Is it located somewhere else now?

Re: Paint Shop Pro x8 auto preserve
Just checking, you do have hidden folders and files set to show right? Because the Auto-Preserve is a hidden folder.
X8 should ask if you want auto-preserve to be turned on the first time you save. If this hasn't happened then you need to make sure it's turned on.
File -> Preferences -> General Program Preferences
Select "Auto-Preserve" from the list on the left and make sure "Enabled Auto-Preserve" is checked. Once it is the hidden "auto-preserve" folder will be made for any image you save.
Revert does only restore the last saved. Restore Original restores from the auto-preserved folder.

Re: Paint Shop Pro x8 auto preserve
Thanks LeviFiction,
For whatever reason when I initially installed x7 it was just there, best I can remember. Assumed it would be the same for x8. But surer than not, I did exactly what you said and the auto-preserve feature was not checked. I opened x8 and just went to file, exactly like you said. Is this good to go now for all my files, or do I have to set it every time I open a new file? Will go in now and make some adjustments and see if it is there. As always, thanks for the support and help.
