Paint Shop Pro X2 Materials palette is black

Post by drofidnas »

Afternoon

As per the title, my palette is just black, no individual colours show up, yet when I pick one the colour is carried over to my tool.
All three tabs in the material properties (color, gradient and texture are all black)
Also, creating a new image, the choice of background is black or black or... you get the idea... any ideas?

This is a new installation on a work computer by my IT dept so I wonder if there's something missing. As they are complete idiots, I thought I might try a board of experts first.

Thanks for any help

Chris

Try resetting the program:
Close PSP.
Open PSP holding the Shift key at the same time.
You will get a message saying PSP is reverting to it's default settings. Click OK.
You will need to re-do Preferences/File Locations/Plugins.

Chris, can you provide some information about the image you are working with, type (jpg?), pixel depth, colors?
