Hi All.
Just wondered if it is possible to anchor the source point when using the airbrush in PSP X8 please.
Kind regards,
Mike.

Re: Anchor the source point
Do you mean the clone brush? Because the air brush doesn't have a source point. If not I'm very curious as to what you mean by "source point"
As for the clone tool, if you turn off alignment mode the source point will always jump back to where it started after you release the mouse button. But there is no way to force it to stay in one place. Unless you spot clone instead of painting with the clone brush.

I don't know what you are trying to achieve but you may want to explore using patterns. Check in Help.

Re: Anchor the source point
Hi All.
Sorry, yes it was the clone brush I was talking about. I have some very old photos that have various marks on them and in some cases there is not a lot of "Good" area from which to get the sample colour. I used an editor years ago that if, once you had selected the source point, you could hold down control and that anchored the source point so you didn't pick up any bad spots and transfer them. I am very much a novice at all this so not even sure if I'm trying to do things right. Trouble is I forget as soon as I learn. Thankfully "Smart Photo Fix" takes care of most it's just these really old pictures of the Mrs's family that I'm trying to clean up for her. Sorry if I seem a bit thick and slow. I'm very grateful for the help.
Kind regards,
Mick.
