PSP x7 tool window size bugs?

Post by Qwntm »

I am transitioning from PS CS6, and over 10 years as a PS instructor, and I am pretty happy with PSP x7.

Except that when I use a tool like curves, the window is not resizable and I have to scroll in order to find the execute button. Seems and feels like a bug to me. This is not the only tool to have the window size problem. These bugs make me very hesitant to upgrade to x8. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

:). Try digging into the Win setups for Menus. I had the same problem and found that it was a Win issue not a Corel issue.

OK, sounds reasonable, any clue as to where or what? Is that a "Control Panel>Display" thing, or a boot thing? :) Thanks for the help!

This is probably a result of the Windows option for making text and icons bigger.

Go to Control Panel. Then select Appearance and Personalization. Select Display. Change the size of all items. Make sure that are NOT on Larger. Select a middle point. (Recommended size).
Hit Apply down the bottom right.

Restart your computer. """"Should"""" work!! Caution____ this may mess with your desktop icons. (I'm using classic shell).

Yes! That was it. Windows text size enlarger.

This was what was holding me back. thanks!

I upgraded to PSPX8 and now the windows are sizable too. So they "fixed" the issue that was really windows fault.

Thanks everybody!
