Hi,
When I drag and drop MP3 file(s) to the audio track timeline, it does not play the MP3 files (either in clip or project mode). However, if I drag and drop the MP3 file to the Voice track timeline, it works fine?
Anyone else experienced this? I have VS X8 Ultimate and Windows 7. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hmmm... haven't heard of that one before! 
Usually, when VS has trouble with mp3 audio it is because it is made with an mp3 codec VS doesn't like, and that's usually the LAMEmp3 codec. In those cases we usually tell people to convert the mp3 to standard .wav using an audio editor like the freeware Audacity. I'd be interested to know if doing that in this case might change things -- though it is strange that the mp3 plays without problem in the voice track. Does it do the same thing in X7 as it does in X8?
Also, though it might again make no difference to this particular situation, have you upgraded X8 to X8.5 with the free service/hot packs available?

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you...
Yes I have tried the MP3 files and they all work in previous versions (5,6,7), and they render as well. In fact in VS8/8.5 they play when the clip is selected from the library, and they play on the voice track. Just not the audio track, but you do see that the file is there, just kind of "greyed out" and not selectable for anything except delete.
