Hello, I'm French, so excuse my English.
I have made some videos (with 1st Screen Recorder) with Microsoft Video 1 codec. after, with virtualdub 1.4.13, i have had music in wav format.
When I imcoporeted the file in my project, and i try to read it in "organize" my video is read with sound, but, when i retry it in "Theme", I have the video but only, 3 or 4 second of sound !
Why, can you help me ?
I have try to converted my video in other format, but the quality is very bad, or it is impossible because I have an error message (with the MPEG 2) "it is impossible to use mpeg 2 profil because you have more than 30 picture /second"! (with tmpgen programme)
Can you help me please ?

What is Microsoft Video 1 codec? Could it be you're referring to Microsoft MPEG4 V1 codec 
If you don't want the quality of your video clip to deteriorate, you should save your source clip in MPEG2 DVD Video compatible format or at least use the same video properties like aspect ratio and frame size. For PAL standard, the DVD video has a frame size of 720x576. If your video clip uses a different frame size, it will most likely deteriorate the quality of your video clip... Not unless you use a dedicated video editing software that has better rendering engine (like Ulead VideoStudio) to reencode your video clip to follow the dvd standard properties.
