Can't change default transition!?

After installing Video Studio 8, I went to preferences/edit to set the default transition. It came set as "random." When I clicked the drop down list next to "random" to choose another, there is nothing in the list, no list. Just the one "random" entry. Huh? What's wrong here??

I have over a 100 transitions available when I click the drop-down arrow under Preferences/Edit/Default Transition.

Obviously there is something wrong with your setup or your system. Maybe that is why you seem to be having all sorts of crashes as you have posted in other threads.

When you installed X8, how many files did you install? With the Pro version, there should have been two, and Ultimate - three.

As Ken mentioned, make sure you installed the Main.exe and Content.exe files.

There was another poster with a similar problem, re-installing the program seemed to fix things

Thanks all,

I had installed all three before. But I reinsalled them again, and that fixed whatever was broken that caused only one transition option to show up.

Now, I have to stress test the program to see if the reinstall did anything for the crash problem I've also been having.
