using USGS pdf files

Post by toltecman »

I am trying to use PSP X8 to print portions of topo maps from USGS which are in pdf format. When I open them with PSP X8 I get a transparent raster layer. I have tried to add another layer behind it and use a fill color of white but still see nothing of the map details just a white background. I used a trial version of a competitive product and added the white background raster layer and it worked so I could see the map. Is there maybe something I'm missing in PSP? I would be happy to provide one of the map files if needed.

Issues with pdf files have been reported already, so it might be a bug since older versions of PSP open pdf without a glitch.
No idea when (or if) this would be addressed, but there is likely a patch coming out soon.

Thanks for the idea, but I tried it under PSP X4 with the same results.
