Warp Brush annoyance in X8

Post by Joelle »

PSPX8.
I use the Warp Brush a lot for pushing, stretching and nudging.
I set the Hardness to 0 and Strength to 50 and don't change those settings very often.
I never use it on Strength 100, but it re-sets itself to 100 once in a while.
It is inconsistent so can't say when it happens
Very irritating. This never happened in previous versions.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I can't say that I have seen this but I wasn't looking either. I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I experience a reset.

Thanks Kathy :-)

It doesn't happen very often, but when it does I can't understand why the slightest nudge sends things flying! :-(
Then I see the Strength setting is back on 100.

That problem you are having Joelle isn't happening for me. I've just been giving the warp brush a good going over and all settings remain as made by me. Sorry I can't be of much help.
Are you using a pen and tablet? There maybe a sensitivity issue, just saying!

Thanks for taking a look Maureen.
As I said it doesn't happen very often.
If you use the Warp Brush a lot, could you keep an eye on it for me?

It's not the end of the world, but odd as this has not happened in previous versions.

Have you tried deleting cache files (File/preferences/reset preferences.../delete all cache files)? It might be worth a try.

Not yet done that, but will, anything is worth a try :-)
I am now keeping an eye on how many times I use the Warp Brush before it resets itself, note to self .. I'd better write it down!

Thanks :-)

Well, I have done just that and it's about one in 10 instances that the Tolerance setting resets itself to 100.
Also, any crashes, which are few, are always when the Warp Brush is involved.
Very annoying, as it's of course always when I haven't immediately saved what I have done. :-(
(Have even reverted to using X6!)
