Drawn lines appearing and disappearing when switching tools.

This is an ongoing problem I've had for some time. It doesn't "always" happen, but when it does, it makes working so difficult as to be nearly impossible. I've tried before to search for anyone else having the problem, but never have seemed to run across it.

Essentially, when drawing an image, and switching between the paintbrush and eraser tools, lines I've just drawn will disappear, often in fragments. Similarly, lines I've just erased will reappear in fragments. Sometimes using the Ctrl-Z function restores them, but most often it doesn't. Sometimes they are restored to normal (for a moment), when I switch tools, but most often not.

It can get so bad that I have to re-try drawing or erasing a line 3 or 4 times before it decides to "stick" and stay put. This happens on both large and small images, and it takes different amounts of time to start. Sometimes it begins within 15-20 minutes of opening a project, other times I can work for hours without it occurring.

The only thing I can do right now is to save the project, close out of PSP, then re-open it and hope for a lengthy grace period before it happens again. I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, and whether or not a fix has been found for it, or if Corel is even aware that it's happening, and whether they've issued a patch that I need to manually download or something?

This sounds similar to a problem reported a number of times. Have you tried changing the zoom when this happens? I think the lines are not rendered correctly but show up when the zoom level is changed. I experienced this early in the life of this version but I think this may have been fixed with service packs.

Yes, it does happen. Not only with lines but painting and erasing. Corel are aware of it but what they are doing about it we will have to wait and see.
