PhotoImpact XL will not run.

I have been using PhotoImpact XL under Windows 8.1 Pro for
over a year on my laptop with no issues.

I have tried uninstalling (completely uninstalling) the
program. I proceeded to reinstall XL and just as it is
finishing the install I receive the following message,

"WIAReg.exe has stopped working"

Underneath that message it states, "A problem caused the

program to stop working correctly."


I have attached a Belarc report of my system.

I have been unable to solve this problem.

You may need to run CCleaner to remove the rest of PI from your system. You could then try reinstalling. Also, run PIX3 in compatibility mode for Win 7.
