Hello,
Que #1. After downloading, will I have a chance to write the zip file to DVD as a backup before it installs?
Que #2. Can I re-download the upgrade file from Corel again should it get corrupted or damaged in use?
Thanks a lot!

1) Yes, you can backup the downloaded file anywhere you want. To DVD, to cloud storage, external flash drive or harddrive. In fact this is recommended by Corel if you didn't purchase download insurance.
2) You can re-download from Corel by logging into your account, yes. But only up to 30 days after purchase unless you buy download insurance then that date is pushed back.
You can learn all about this from Corel's knowledgebase.
