Maybe so. Or I should just focus on one at a time. Sorry about that. Truly the most important one is the smaller one, I only have four of the band videos that I need to get onto DVD, so that would finish that project if I could figure it out. I'm thoroughly frustrated with the whole thing, which I suppose only makes it worse lol. But if I did things the same way he did, I'm not sure what the problem is because it worked for him but not me.

Canuck

You may well be correct but it’s a little late and too complex to split the post.
Yes there is a few samples at first from the camera, but yes it did get confusing.

Meg
Creating the ISO allows us to play the files on our pc, the iso is an exact copy of what is burned to disc, a Disc Image
If the iso plays ok using VLC Media Player, (this also plays the menu structure)
We can safely burn the iso to disc knowing we will get the same quality.
No more coasters.

And no I have not actually burned a disc, creating the Mpeg2 is sufficient to check the videos final quality, we must do this to prove the video is good.
If you wish to play the Mpeg2 on your tv, simply copy to a USB stick and play via that, assuming the TV or DVD Player does have a USB terminal

After burning the disc and there are problems then it’s the burning process not the video files, Maybe the type of disc being used

It does appear from your comments that you are having Speed problems with all types of video you are using, which is strange.

The Im The Only One Goochs 9 30 2011 sample
How long is that file? I see it as 6 min 42 sec

After rendering the file to Mpeg2 the duration is the same.

I have uploaded the rendered Mpeg2 called Band to my One Drive here
Do you find anything wrong here.
http://1drv.ms/1Mx7Ig8
The file is approx. 288mb, if you do not see it, give a little time for the upload to complete.

Phhh if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all lol. It said there was a problem loading the video when I found it..

And yes, 6 minutes is correct. It's a long song. My stuff all says it's that long too.

Ok, so my DVD recorder actually does have USB but will only recognize MP3 and JPEG, so I guess that's out. I did try that before, but I just tried again as MPEG before looking up again what it recognizes and that didn't work either. So I guess my only hope is this ISO thing. I will try that next.

I have used both DVD-RW and DVD-R, and they have previously worked, so I don't think it's that. It must be something in how the software is being set up to burn, but I don't change anything from the factory defaults, so I'm not sure what it could be.

Hi
Were you able to play the sample video “Band” on your pc, if so was the quality acceptable.
A DVD Player plays DVD Discs. ----DVD Discs contain Mpeg2 files.

I don’t understand why your player does not play the sample I provided.
The only explanation would be the Pal settings using 25fps.
Not all DVD Players in the US will play Pal DVD video they have to use 29.97fps.
NTSC international standard.

You should convert the original file to Mpeg2 using:-
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Frame-based
(DVD-NTSC), 16:9
Video data rate: 8000 kbps
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

However adding frames from 25 to 29.97 may be noticeable in the final video.

Do you have VLC Media Player installed on your computer?
You will need that to play the ISO
Before burning the iso you must have a good quality Mpeg2 of your movie

No, when I go to the link you sent me the video is there, but when I click on it it says it's having problems loading, so I don't get to see it.

I did indeed try to covert that file to MPEGfiles last night, but when I went to burn it the preview was slow motion again. Also, I just looked at the MPEG file, and the frames didn't change. It's still 25 f/s instead of the 29.97 it should've been once converted.

No I don't have VLC Media Player on my computer. But if I can only use the ISO thing on my computer it doesn't do me much good. I need to be able to use whatever I use on the DVD recorder or regular dvd player. I've tried to hook my computer up to the dvd recorder to just try and do it that way but I can't. The USB only recognizes the MP3 or JPEG formats, so I can't use that slot, and the only other 'ins' on the recorder are RCA and Svideo, which aren't on my computer. Wish I could do it that way, my life would be a lot easier lol!

I'm sorry, I did just figure out the OneDrive thing, and got it downloaded. Yes it does work. I'm going to try to burn it to dvd now and check it in the player. How did you do that? When I converted it it didn't work right..

UGH okay, I think I was wrong. I got one more song done, but I think that one had been converted some other way and I don't remember what I did. I got it out of a different folder than the one the corel conversions go to, and it worked, but the ones I convert in corel don't. The only thing I can think is because the one that worked said it was 25 f/s even after conversion, but the ones I convert in corel go to the 29.97 and then slow motion comes in. I don't understand :(

Ok, so here is what I'm doing- you tell me what's going wrong if you can.

I'm going to File, Batch Convert, Add files, and adding the original file. I've added this file to dropbox at https://www.dropbox.com/s/bbow2kk0ubboc ... 1.avi?dl=0. Then I make sure it is set to MPEGfiles and hit convert. When it is done I hit ok, and go to the Corel output file. This is the link to the second file, which winds up being in slow motion so I don't even bother to burn it because I've done that and it's still no good https://www.dropbox.com/s/7oafxao3u4gl4 ... 1.mpg?dl=0.

Hi

I did not realise you were using the batch Converter
you must set the conversion properties correctly I think via the options button.

Meg2001
This is what I did….
I set the project properties to use DVD 16:9, maybe that’s worded as Mpeg2 16:9 using VSX6, I do not have X6 installed at the moment.

Project properties……………
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Frame-based
(DVD-PAL), 16:9
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

Add the video file to the top timeline
Share create video file – Same as Project Properties

My only concern is that your DVD Player may not support 25fps.
So you may be best changing the frame rate to 29.97fps.

Post Updated

I have downloaded the MPG sample, certainly there are problems with playback.
I do not have time tonight but will have another look tomorrow.

I am about to install X6 to see what results I get.?????

Yes, Corel is the only thing I have that will convert to MPEG, so that's what I was using. I don't see anywhere that has options on there for batch convert. Okay, thank you sooooo much for spending so much time on this, I'm sure it's a PIA, but I really do appreciate it. I just have the two band videos left to do on that project, so I'm excited to be near the end lol. Hopefully you'll see something in there that I need to do differently.
