Paint Shop Pro X8 64 bit stops working

When I open a png-file and try to save it as a jpg-file or a gif-file, Paint Shop stops working and I have to close it from Windows. Paint Shop Pro X7 works fine ... no problems here.

How are you trying to save the file?

1. Opens 3 PNG-files - try to save the first as a GIF-file: System freezes
2. Opens 1 PNG-file - try to save as a GIF-file: System freezes
3. Makes a new file - saves as PNG-file: System OK
4. Close Paint Shop Pro - opens the new PNG-file - try to save it as a JPG-file: System freezes
5. Gave up - opened Paint Shop Pro X/ and does exactly the same things. No problems.

Try using File, Save As. See if that works better.
