EDIT: I've updated the script to allow you to set the compression level for JPG inside the script. Then all images saved with this script will default to that compression level. You have to edit the script manually to set these defaults. But I've highlighted the area with the variables as well as I could. It's pretty obvious, right at the top. Just make sure to stick to the same options that PSP gives you. Don't get crazy.
These two scripts can be used to replace the default Save option inside X8. In X8, at the moment, when you save JPG file for the first time it pops up the save as dialog in an attempt to give you more control over the default compression settings for that image.
It has not been well received.
So these scripts are designed to replace the current and make it act like it did in X6 and X7. Just overwriting the old image with a default compression level of 20. Also the second script includes an automatic close image option for anyone who wants that.

Re: X8 Silent Save
Thanks, LeviFiction. I learned some more by reading through these scripts. Very useful.
Re: X8 Silent Save
Ist a good idea, but by my silentsaveandclose aborts with an error, because Close must be in an trusted library.
But I put it in the trusted user script folder (german Vision):
H:\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\18.0\Skripts (vertrauenswürdig)
