Hi again
Having completed my project I have selected AVCHD as the video I wish to make prior to completing the DVD.
On 2 attempts I have found that the video split at around 4.19gb leving a residue on a second video of 3.14gb.
Is this normal? I was expecting just one piece of video of a total 7.33gb.
It has also split mid-sequence, is this break likely to show once the dvd is completed.
Thanks again
Mark

Re: AVCHD Videos
Do you have any files at all any where on your computer larger than 4Gb
I ask because my first thought is that your hard drive is formatted to the FAT32 spec which does not allow files bigger than 4Gb and splits any files that are above that into chunks'
If that is the problem then the solution is to reformat your hard drive to the NTFS specification - you can do that without removing or losing anything on the drive.

Re: AVCHD Videos
Hi Brian
Many thanks, you are quite correct. While my C drive is NTFS I am using a sata-connected 2tb external hard drive to store my dvds etc and see now that this is a Fat 32. I will re-do my video file and download to my C drive as a test. If all ok I'll then convert the sata drive.
Thanks for your speedy reply, a great help.
regards
