Just cleaning up and noticed I still have X7 installed but using X8 now. Is it safe to UNINSTALL X7?

Yes, if you are sure that there are no resources in the X7 install folders that you have added there and might want to keep for use with X8. However, there really is no reason to uninstall X7 unless you want to because all versions of PSP (including the Jasc versions) coexist well together. Things that would be kept in X7 folders are gradients that you made while using X7. Or Scripts. Or textures, patterns, saved selections, masks, displacement maps, brushes, picture tubes, all of those specialty items that you yourself made and exported.
Those would exist in your X7 folders.
C:\Users\username\documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\17.0\
If you made anything like that you can copy your X7 folders over to X8 and X8 will pick them right up.
