I am a little confused about setting the start point when producing a motion menu for a DVD in VS X7. I have found the following - actually they are more or less the same as when I previously used VS 11.
1) With a Thumbnail menu you can double click on the small motion menu screen and get up the little "Start position" screen that allows you to vary the start position of the motion menu.
2) With a Smart Scene or Text menu (I'm not sure about the other types) clicking on the motion menu screen results in nothing happening.
3) You can vary the start position in a Smart Scene or Text menu by switching to a Thumbnail menu, setting the start position as in 1) above, then switching back to the Smart Scene or Text menu.
Have I got things straight and am I missing anything?

Re: Motion menus in VS X7
Hi Berzelius
You may be missing one fact....
from the first window the Add Media Screen we can change the thumbnail view.
Select the clip on the timeline and play to select a frame ( or drag the curser below the preview screen)
Right click the thumbnail to select Change Thumbnail.
that should affect all menu's used.
but yes you are correct changing the Thumbnail Menu view also changes that view and does indeed change the Text / Smart Scene frame.
