Trouble uploading to Youtube

Post by rkstudio »

For some reason, I've always had trouble uploading videos directly to Youtube from VSX6. I don't know why, but whenever I select Youtube to upload to, it doesn't recognize my username or password. I know that I'm entering it correctly. I signed into YT with no problem. In fact I never have problems signing into YT. However, I have never been successful signing into YT from VSX6.
I really want to get this solved once and for all. It's very inconvenient. I Selected YT to upload to and waited about half an hour for it to upload just to find out I couldn't sign in so all the trouble uploading was a waste of time because it didn't work. i really like VS but if I can't solve this, I'm going to start looking for another program that works. This is one of so many issues I've had with VS.

I found that the problem is that if you have a Google account any where on your computer then Videostudio insists on trying to sign in to Youtube using that Google account

The solution for me was simple - and I think better. I just create my video in Videostudio - exit VS - check out the quality and content of the video - sign in to Youtube and upload the video where I can see every thing happening - end of problems

Hi

You may be best to connect to YouTube from your Internet Browser instead of through Video Studio.
Do you have similar problems in doing that?

As Brain says it’s a better option as you can play the video to check quality before uploading to YT.

Hi

Are you saying you have never uploaded to your Youtube account?

From the YouTube home page to the top right I see my icon and an "upload" link
selecting that will prompt me to "Select files for upload"

X6 YouTube template uses these settings

MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1280 x 720, 25 fps
Frame-based
H.264 Main Profile Video: 5000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps

You can view these after choosing Upload to YouTube – Mpeg4 16:9 HD in the lower properties panel.

From Share Create Video File – Mpeg4 - MPEG-4 AVC (1280x720)
Uses the same settings as above allowing you to render the project to same video type.

Also
Using Settings Make Movie Templates manager allows you to modify / create your own template
Increasing the data rate should improve quality but also increase file size.

MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1280 x 720, 25 fps
Frame-based
H.264 High Profile Video: 9000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps

As you are in the USA your template will use 29.97 fps not 25fps as in UK.

Hope this helps
