Best blank dvd for the job!

Post by garjobo »

Surprisingly i cant seem to find much choice out there...all this, save to prem. hard drive for archival purposes etc..All i want, after all my hard editing work!, is to create a dvd which hopefully will last a good number of years.

Any recommendations? the usual TDK, Verb...appreciate letting us know, 'gold type' / ' or stick to bluray? ...also where to buy these from, other than Amazon etc..

thanking you kindly in advance

Personally I love these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Memorex-M00584- ... ds=memorex

I don't do video dvd's at all, but for data backup they are good even after 10 years.

My personal choice is Verbatim +R - which I usually buy on e-bay

I've been using a brand of printable DVDs called Ritek for years. Cheap but very reliable, and seem to work with all my various DVD players. More recently, since buying a Blu-Ray burner about 4 years ago, I found that Ritek also makes blank printable BD discs, which I now also use. You would need to check your local sources to see if they are available where you live.
