If you customise the layers toolbar to add a drop down menu option you cannot change the menu title. Right click gives you no options to change.
Items on the menu can be changed OK,
Items on other toolbars can be changed OK.

Re: BUG PSPX8 - Cannot change menu title on layers menu
Jean-Luc, add a menu item to the Layers palette. Then try and change the name of the menu.
While its added to the Layers Palette you can't change the title. So you have to add the menu to a different toolbar. Change the name, copy it over to the layers palette. Then if you want to change it again, remove the menu from the layers palette, change the name on the original toolbar. Copy it over to the layers palette again. Just to change the name.
But this only seems to happen when the menu is added to the Layers Palette. No where else that I can find so now.

There are multiple issues when customizing the LAYERS PALETTE
and all three of its prime areas have gotchas.
Top toolbar:
a) Dragging buttons on the top toolbar leaves behind its initial two spacers who cannot be gotten rid of and will then scoot around like annoying little poltergeists. b) Doing a Toolbars RESET on the top toolbar portion demands a full PSP shutdown/restart for RESET changes to appear.
Top and bottom toolbar:
All icons/buttons heading there will also require a layover on another outside toolbar for any text modifications to apply/work.
Right CONTEXT Menus:
There are two different ways to access Layers Palette RIGHT CONTEXT MENU text modifications. One works just fine here, while the other route is bad.
CUSTOMIZE> MENU> SELECT CONTEXT MENU> LAYER PALETTE> The Layers context menu pops open right next to the CUSTOMIZE dialog. RIGHT CLICK any highlighted entry and access the BUTTON APPEARANCE dialog. Text modifications get entered here. This route works fine for me.
Here's where it gets dicey:
First, open an image, then open CUSTOMIZE.
Once the Customize dialog is live, one can simply right click directly over on the "Layers Palette itself" to access the same right context menu. Right clicking any highlighted item from here also delivers the BUTTON APPEARANCE dialog, and allows entries. This is a bad road. Things will either go 'nothing', or get all squirrelly where lots of wrong things happen.

Re: BUG PSPX8 - Cannot change menu title on layers menu
OK. I missed this "feature" was only produced when tweaking the Layers Palette and not in another place. Thank you for the precision.LeviFiction wrote: But this only seems to happen when the menu is added to the Layers Palette. No where else that I can find so now.
