Smartplay stopped working - help!

I have a strange problem with the DV smartplay feature of MSP 6.52:
After installing it on my new notebook dv smartplay worked perfectly - until I applied the patches from the Ulead website (XP-Patch/Power-Patch/Power-Patch2). Since then, Smartplay only works if I set the project settings to either audio or video - but not to both. If I try to play audio and video from the timeline using the smartplay feature there ist no output to the camera. Uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't help, something seems to have been permanently changed.

Scrubbing from the timeline works, exporting to ms-dv works also, but only if I play at least part of the clip in the preview window.

I thought it might not be MSP but my system and therefore checked autostarts, services etc., but it didn't help. Finally I downloaded the tryout of adobe premiere - and here, everything works perfectly. Therefore the problems I have must be related to MSP. Smartplay is an important feature for me - and as I definitely don't want to change to Premiere any help would be greatly appreciated.

please check your project settings against your video and audio tracks - there can be the problem. They must be equal.

I don't know - is there the square/not square pixel option already in your version ? Check this setting, too.

And in addition there special settings in the output options of the preview window. Here you should have a look, too. Such options refer to the DV output as well.

Thank you for your hints - Project settings andindividual clip settings are equal (Video DV Type 1 25 fps, Audio DV-Audio PAL, 48 KHz,16 bit), Quickplay is turned off in the preview window... I didn't find any square/non-square pixel option, so I assume it is not yet present in 6.5. Unfortunately, I still don't get smartplay to work...
