Windvd Pro 11 not playing blu ray discs on windows 10

Since I upgraded to windows 10 WinDVD pro 11 hasn't been able to play blu rays, it keeps asking me to disable windows aero environment, after I accept the program freezes for a few minutes and asks me again, it does this in an endless loop, it plays dvds and many video files fine just like before, but I just can't get it to run blu rays, I've tried using one of the high contrast themes in windows 10 and I've also tried to use compatibility mode but it just doesn't work, what can I do?
