Which effects exactly? Some just changed names and aren't actually gone. Local Tone Mapping was once Clarify. I believe at one point the script version of Clarify still worked the way it used to. Whether or not it still does I can't tell you.
The other place to look is in the "Unused Commands" under the customize dialog.
But if there is a specific effect you want we might be able to help you find it.

Re: How to find old effects
Did a comparison of PSP8 withe PSP X7 effects and essentially they are the same.
In PSP8 Sepia Toning was under Artistic Effects and now in X7 they are in a new menu item Photo Effects with 8 extra effects.
X7 also has new effects Displacement Map under Distortion Effects and High Pass under Edge Effects.
All the rest have the same names as in PSP8.
So really the later versions have a few more effects compared with the earlier versions.
Or are you referring to a particular version?

Re: How to find old effects
I know that some of them was moved by Corel and i have found some that way.
I tried some tutorials but didn' t have the presets so i left the page so i don' t remember which one i didn' t have. This is something thats happens often to me.
Tutorials are often made in earlier versions of PSP.
It would have been a good idea if Corel could save presets they take away and put for download somewhere.
