This is going to come off as a gripe. Can't help it. I am quite annoyed. But maybe someone knows how to change the dpi when you resize an image in PSP X8. I just got around to installing a trial tonight and I'm currently REAL GLAD I haven't bought it.
I looked it up in the manual and got told to use the optimization dialogue whereupon I'd be given a set of predetermined options. Oh, no, for as much as this program costs. No.
M'kay so here's the deal.
I have X4.
And although X8 has a nice selection feature I'd like to go to, if I'm not able to think for myself to change my image dpi to what I need instead of what some programmer decided they thought I needed then I literally can't use this thing. And this makes me very frustrated and sad.
I change to various dpi's for a lot of things: ebooks, online comics, webcomics, the works. I need to be able to set my OWN dpi and think for myself.
*kicking rocks in rage*
PSP X8 took away my ability to think for myself?!?! No DPI?!

NM. Found it, by accident. I'm still kicking rocks, though. I don't WANT to have it only in the print size dialogue. I resize by percent! This has been made a mess. I'm afraid to see what else has been squished!

I also said this in the Wish list but wanted to put it here.
It takes more steps but it still works.
1) Select "By Print Size" and change the DPI/Resolution
2) Select "By Percentage" or "By Pixel" or "Based on One Side" whichever you prefer to use for resizing.
3) Fill in the new size.
4) Hit OK.
The image will be resized and the DPI will be changed.
It still works as it used to except for selecting modes.

Re: PSP X8 took away my ability to think for myself?!?! No D
The modes is a problem. More times than not I resize by percent. So now I can resize by percent and then do EXTRA to also resize by dpi, or always guess. Just. GRRR. (Thanks, btw, for showing me.)

Thanks from me too. I was frustrated by the change in dialogue too. I have been resizing by dpi always (which is more than just years) and can't be the only one.
