Flip and Mirror Local Pre-X4

Post by LeviFiction »

In PSPX4 Corel changed the Mirror and Flip commands to Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical. Much to the consternation of many users. And they didn't give us the choice of both until I believe version X7. The only way to get the original Flip and Mirror commands back was to use a script. Thankfully they had left the commands themselves alone only adding one extra parameter 'TransformLocally'. When set to true the layer would flip across its own local center axis. When set to false it would flip across the canvas's center axis like it used to.

These Flip and Mirror Local options were very handy and nice.

So I made some scripts to simulate Flipping and Mirroring locally for versions of PSP X - X3, I don't know if it will work in versions 8 and 9 since it uses the Pick tool and I forgot which version of PSP introduced that. It would, however, be a very small matter to make it work for all versions 8-X3.

'Again this is not to be confused with the scripts that give you Mirror and Flip back in X4 - X6. This is only for versions of PSP prior to X4 so that they can use the Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical commands.
