Copy and pasting forum text

When I copy and paste forum text into a Word doc, it shows with a blue background.How can I stop this from happening.

It is not a problem with the forum, but something you have to do in Word. I don't know which version of Word you use, but I still use Office 2007, but I suspect it remains the same for more recent versions. From memory you need to highlight the words with the pale blue background, then select Page Layout from the Word ribbon. Then in that look for Page Background and select Borders. On the dialogue box which appears, go to the Shading tab and change the color to 'No Color' and click OK. The blue background should now disappear.

Interestingly enough, I don't get that blue background when I copy forum text into Word. I sometimes get it, though, when I copy forum text into an email, and have to use a similar process to get rid of it... or if the text is not too long, just simply retype it and delete the original text with the background!

I'm still with word 2003, I have no such problem.

I have found that the easiest way to prevent that is to place the cursor where you want to paste in Word - then RIGHT click and choose the 3rd option under 'Paste Options' which is "Keep Text Only"

Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any 'Paste Options' in Word 2007...

I have Word 2013 and Brian`s advice works.But the reason I posted this question is because it has only "recently" started to happen after using the same version of Word since 2013
