help please, alpha channel doesnt work

i try to add a boris graffiti effect on a video or image, but the alpha channel doesnt work, it is just black. what must i do to fix it? i contacted boris fx, but they told me to hide background layer, but if i do that, all will be black and hide the first videotrack.

Although I don’t use Boris that much it does seem to work ok creating animated text / titles

I am not sure from your video what the actual problem is as you do not appear to have Customised the effect nor added any text.
It may be your video files giving problems although mts types should work ok.

Have you applied any other effects / filters or just Boris?

Can you use the sample library video clips (SP-V01.mp4) to apply the filter, that way we can replicate your work. Does that go black or can you see the actual video?

If you save and zip the VSP project file you could attach to your post.

have you tried re-installing Boris Graffiti again?

Is your version part of Video Studio Ultimate Bonus Pack, or have you purchased Graffiti separately?

I unninstalled and reinstalled the bonus boris graffitti but it wont work now at all. I also updated biris graffiti to 6.6 but it wont work. The plugin effect only shows as a black effectbox in fx tab.

Why have you done that? Never there is a need for reinstalling unless full understanding of a problem or collections of culprits.
Your video didn't explain what the problem, you could describe in voice what you want to do.

i reinstalled videostudio in a hope for fix on boris graffiti. here is some pictures of that boris graffiti no longer works in the reinstalled videostudio.

it only shows a black square box in the fx's

i found out that graffiti works if i add a preset on it then delete the preset in advance mode. but it still not in alpha when im adding forexample pageturn or 2d particle effects in graffiti.

the Boris Fx in the library should have a large G in gold.

The version installed on my VSX8 is 6.1.

There is a patch a fix for Graffiti plug-in, have you applied that.

i did not purpaced graffiti seperately. it was in the bonus. it do not work correctly.

the graffiti worked perfectly before, exept of that the alpha didnt worked.

now i have installed the patch for boris graffiti for corel videostudiox8, but it still nothing changed. it seems that it not install correctly, even when it says it is installed completely.

Regarding version numbers, I have just installed CVSX8 and the Bonus pack containing Boris Graffiti, the version number I see is 6.1.
The question is why is your version 6.6?

I assume you are installing for 64 bit programs, however I doubt that the program would allow installing 32bit over 64? Never tried?

Have you uninstalled Boris via the Program and Features.
Then clean the program

OK
Uninstall Boris
Delete the X8 setup files from …………
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X8 Setup Files
Then
Reset the program to its default installed state by re-naming the folder 18.0 to “18.0-old”
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\18.0
If you cannot find this folder type %appdata% in the Start Search box to find the roaming folder.

A new 18.0 folder will be created when running the program
Now install Boris from the X8 bonus file

i now tried the cleanup that you gave a description how to do, but graffiti 6.1 still doesnt work properly. its still a black square instead of the logo. and i also tried installing 32 bit version. and still no alpha channel in videostudio from graffiti.
